Optiva Media, the leading company in Digital Television services, is recruiting an outstanding senior testing engineer and testing engineers to grow nationally and internationally. His/Her main responsibilities will be:

 Develop and Validate Test Plans that cover either software and hardware elements involving Digital TV systems: STBs, head end and network elements.
- Define the scope of testing/execute testing
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, design test methods, test cases and other documentation for functional and regression testing
- Design, deploy and manage the appropriate testing framework to meet the testing mandate.
- Identify potential automation areas; design and build automated tests.
- Identify and propose testing process’ enhancements
- Extract and analyze tests’ metrics
- Provide guidance in quality assurance activities and continual process improvements.
- Regular status reports of testing activities.

Mínimo: - At least 5 years experience for senior positions/2 years for junior. - Bachelor degree (Computer Science or Telecommunications) - Fluent English, valuable German - Good communication skills, organized and motivated, persistent, driven to complete tasks - Consultant Generic Skills (Presentations, Documentation, Customer-Facing, Project and results oriented, Team work, etc…). - Testing experience, test procedures from manual to automatic test methods. - Good knowledge of formal testing techniques, test processes and procedures - Experience in test automation applications and scripted regression testing - Programming languages acumen - Ability to write technical documentation, reports, business correspondence and procedure manual - Bug reporting tools management.

Deseado: - Unix/Linux technical knowledge and experience. - MS Windows technical knowledge and experience. - IP Networking - DVB and IPTV knowledge (MPEG and DVB tables, HE, STB, etc) - CAS and VoD Architectures. - Cable TV, IPTV or Satellite environments knowledge. - Digital TV applications: EPG, VOD, PVR, Series linking, recommendations, etc. - STB Functional, structural, robustness and stress testing.
